Visit www.tripod.com to set up an account.

You will need a username and password. Your email username is a good choice. It's easy to remember that !!

When your account has been established, you should see your name. You may want to Log Out and then Log In again to be certain your User ID and password are working properly.

Open your account and change the advertising to pop-up ads. You will find this in the Membership Info under My Account. To change your preferences so that FrontPage is enabled, you need to go to Website Details.

Notice that your account is named http://members.tripod.com/yourname. You will need this information when you are ready to publish your Web site.

When your FrontPage Project is working to perfection you are ready to publish it. In FrontPage, click the File pop-down menu, Publish Web, and enter your location.

We do not use WS_FTP to publish a FrontPage Web! That was for the HTML Project.

When your Web is uploaded and published, check to be sure that everything is working properly. If you need to edit, you will edit your Web stored in your folder and not at Tripod. Save your changes and publish the Web again, this time indicating that you wish to publish changed pages only.

Finally, open your HTML Project in HomeSite and create a link that will take us to your Web at Tripod, http://members.tripod.com/yourname. I created my link on my CIS Projects page, but you may create it wherever you wish.

Also note, if you enter yourname.tripod.com in the address box, Internet Explorer should open your site.
